These photos are of the Solar eclipse on Sunday, May 20th. The eclipse could only be viewed as a partial eclipse from Sedona. The photos are of a progression from around 5:30 pm MT until just before sunset at around 7:05 pm MT. The maximum eclipse was at 6:35 pm. MT. Shortly after that I happened to turn around to see an ethereal sight of shadows from the tree in our yard on the neighbors house. Note how the shadows depict the eclipse. It was very surreal.
Had an interesting shoot this week at Abbie’s Kitchen, a new boutique restaurant in Old Town Cottonwood, AZ. They serve high-end comfort foods in a small, intimate 1920’s home that has been renovated with intimate dining rooms and a commercial kitchen.
Utilizing back-light reflected back on the food provided even lighting and brought out the vibrancy of the dishes.
The inaugural Benzel Cup Golf Tournament was held this past weekend at Oak Creek Country Club and Sedona Golf Resort. The event on Friday, April 20th at OCC was a split format. The front nine was a 2-man scramble and the back was an alternate shot, both with each player selecting the best drive. The format at Sedona Golf Resort was a 2-man best ball gross and net.
The two day scores were then combined to determine the overall winners. The winning low gross team paired Joe Mooney and Blaine Moore and the low net champions were Earl McLeod and Paul Martin.
Jeff Watts and I were paired in the game but finished back in the pack, (I sucked on Saturday!) Jeff did manage to get TWO closest to the pin checks though! A great time was had by all and the weather was spectacular. Excuse the photo quality as I was focused on golf and only had my Droid to take the shots of the winning teams.
